Freedom Financial Solutions, Inc. (FFSI) is a California financial services corporation formed on 7/26/2000. The principals have been serving clients for over 25 years. FFSI is operated as a partnership by Mr. Rod Taverna and Mr. Edward Davis. FFSI operates a subsidiary, Best Discount Benefits, which was formed to provide non-insurance supplemental benefits to groups and associations.

Mr. Taverna has a BA from the University of Missouri and an MBA from National University in California. He is a licensed FINRA series 26 principal, a retired U. S. Marine Corps officer, and has been listed for many years in Who's Who in America and Who's Who in the West. He is securities licensed in CA and OK and insurance licensed in CA (#0774812). Mr. Taverna also teaches a course in Debt Management at Mira Costa College in San Diego, CA.

Mr. Davis served as a field supervisor and partner in a large insurance agency for over 20 years. He is a retired U. S. Army officer. Mr. Davis holds insurance licenses in CA ( # 0562851 ), AZ, NM, TX, OK, FL, MO, NC, and VA.

Mr. Taverna and Mr. Davis are the founders of the S.M.A.R.T. Consumer Group, an educational organization which provides consumer and financial planning information to companies, groups, associations, government and military personnel.
