Active Duty Military and Veterans Benefits

Attention active duty members of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, and Coast Guard.

Attention, also, Ready Reservists, National Guard, Law Enforcement Officers, Firefighters,
DOD Contractors, Emergency Medical Technicians, Federal Employees, and all Military Veterans!

Military benefit associations provide insurance and financial solutions that meet the needs of their members and families at every stage of their lives. These benefit associations fill an important need for active duty members of the military, as well as veterans, reservists, national guard, federal employees, and first responders.

SGLI (Servicemembers' Group Life Insurance) may not be enough to keep your family protected if the unthinkable happens. Active duty military personnel may want to augment their $400,000 SGLI. By taking advantage of a military benefit association, you can easily supplement your coverage for basically the same price as you pay for SGLI. No medical exams are required up to $250,000 of coverage and you can keep your plan when you leave military service. Plus, unlike most insurance companies, there is no penalty for aviation duties. Association term life insurance is particularly popular with active duty members who want to augment their SGLI prior to deploying.

Retired military service members and veterans have an option to convert to VGLI (Veterans' Group Life Insurance) upon leaving active duty. VGLI is guaranteed available to you regardless of health for the first 120 days after you leave service. For one year after that you can still obtain VGLI, but you will have to answer health questions. VGLI starts out fairly inexpensive, but starting at age 30, it increases in price every 5 years. The cost becomes quite expensive as you become older. Spouse and child coverage under SGLI cannot be converted to VGLI. If a veteran is relatively healthy, he or she can save tens of thousands of dollars over a lifetime by choosing a military association plan. Military associations can also provide coverage for your spouse and children. Military benefit associations are non-profit organizations which have been run by veterans for veterans for over 50 years.

Military benefit associations also offer low cost life insurance plans for Federal Employees and First Responders. All military association life insurance plans are offered without restriction to war or terrorism.

An included benefit for both active duty military and first responders is the college scholarship program. The college scholarship is offered to the surviving spouse or children of an insured active duty military member who dies in a combat zone, as a result of combat action, or whose life was lost as a result of acts of foreign or domestic terrorism. The college scholarship is also offered to the surviving spouse and children of law enforcement officers, firefighters, and emergency medical service providers who are association members and die while involved in operations at the scene of an incident which has the potential for loss of life.

Whether you are a soldier, sailor, marine, airman, coast guardsman, member of the ready reserves or national guard, or are a veteran, firefighter, law enforcement officer, emergency medical technician, or federal employee you deserve the best benefits at the lowest possible price.

With a military association, you are still eligible to apply for benefits up to age 70. Discover today how military benefit associations can serve you.
